Official Topics and Essential Rules
The directory covers Key facts, Eligibility, Documents required, Apply for a pass and Cancel a pass. An employer applies for eligible students or overseas-business trainees; validity is up to three months without renewal. Each page explains the features, conditions, training programme, application/issuance or cancellation after training.
Choose the Training Route Before Filing
Begin by identifying whether the attachment is for a student or a trainee from the overseas office or subsidiary. For a student, the attachment must form part of the course of study. The acceptable-institution option and the S$3,000 fixed monthly salary option are alternatives within that student route; they do not remove the course requirement. An overseas-office or subsidiary trainee must meet the S$3,000 salary requirement. A previous TEP for the same type of training prevents another TEP for that training.
Prepare the passport particulars page and a training programme explaining the objective, training type, location and duration. Submit a name-difference explanation with supporting evidence where relevant. Non-English originals and their English translations go together as one file. Qualification verification is not a mandatory initial TEP upload, although employers remain responsible for genuine qualifications from accredited institutions and MOM can ask for further evidence.
For planning, settle the route and training dates before the employer obtains written consent and submits the application. Budget separately for the S$105 application fee, S$225 issuance fee and any applicable S$30 Multiple Journey Visa. Most applications take within three weeks; approval, arrival and pass issuance are separate stages. This preparation sequence is advice, rather than an additional MOM application form.
