ACRA’s renewal guide requires continuing compliance with the qualification and fit-and-proper criteria, together with an appointment or employment by a registered CSP. Update changed particulars and prepare evidence of qualifications or professional membership before filing. The stated fee is S$200 and the renewal covers two years. Expired status stops the RQI from filing for CSP clients. Registration alone does not establish client access: the CSP appointment must be endorsed and the client must be on its list.
Resolve Eligibility and Particulars Before Renewal
Check that the RQI registration has not expired, the individual still meets the qualification and fit-and-proper requirements, and there is an appointment or employment by a registered corporate service provider. Prepare evidence of the relevant qualifications or professional membership. If the displayed particulars need correction, the renewal instructions direct the applicant to update the RQI information through General lodgement before continuing. An expired registration is not authority to continue client filings while an application is being prepared: ACRA says transactions for CSP clients cannot be filed until the person registers as an RQI again.
Check the Individual Renewal and Client Access Separately
The detailed instructions use the Individual User login via Singpass and the Registered Qualified Individual renewal option under the corporate-service-provider tab. Confirm the selected service is RQI renewal rather than the CSP firm’s own renewal. Review the qualifications and displayed registration information, then retain the payment receipt and Bizfile approval notification. The S$200 fee is not refunded for rejection, early de-registration or cancellation by ACRA. Approval alone does not create authority for every client: the CSP appointment must be endorsed and the CSP must add the relevant clients before their transactions can be filed. ACRA also reviews the individual’s conduct and compliance history.
