Updating CSP and RQI Particulars

Choose the Correct CSP or RQI Update Route

Separate the changed fact from the person authorised to notify it. CSP particulars include the services provided, nature of business and business address other than the registered office address. An authorised CSP officer can file those updates. An RQI, however, must file their own RQI particulars changes, with the stated 14-day notification requirement; a client-list administrator is not automatically entitled to do that for the individual.

As practical preparation, list the old and new details, change date and qualification documents. Employee contact and identification changes use Manage Filing Access for RQIs and CSP Employees. Changes to key appointment holders require the applicable appointment or withdrawal update in Bizfile and the separate ACRA notification identified in the official guide. Do not confuse an employee’s telephone update with an RQI appointment.

For RQI updates, General Lodgement includes Update Registered Qualified Individual Information. Where the RQI also holds an officer or partner appointment in another entity, ACRA limits that RQI service to qualification information and supporting documents; other personal details use Update Position Holder Information. The listed update service is free and immediate, but verify that the correct record changed. A successful submission through one route should not be treated as completion of every related personnel record.
