Scope and Key Points
An authorised CSP position holder or RQI can maintain the list using Corppass with the appropriate Bizfile access. Prepare the client’s UEN or registration number. ACRA does not charge for this transaction, but a newly added client must endorse the request before filing access is granted. Clients can review appointed CSPs and remove access through their own dashboard. A missing client may therefore reflect withdrawal of permission rather than a migration problem.
Check Client Endorsement and Filing Authority
As practical preparation, distinguish three permissions: maintaining the CSP’s client list, the client’s endorsement of the appointment, and an employee’s authority to file. They are connected but are not the same action. A person authorised to use the client-list service must still select the correct CSP profile; access to an unrelated entity dashboard does not establish authority over this client.
Search by the client’s UEN or registration number and verify the retrieved name before adding it. Several clients can be added in one transaction, but a new entry does not itself complete the endorsement needed for filing access. Check the resulting My Clients entry and any pending endorsement before scheduling a transaction that depends on that access. This avoids mistaking an immediately processed list update for a completed client appointment.
When ending an engagement, identify the correct entity before using Withdraw Client and confirm that its status becomes Withdrawn. If a previously available client is missing, review who initiated the withdrawal: ACRA says clients migrated from BizFile+ may subsequently have removed a CSP’s access. Re-adding an entity is therefore a permission issue to resolve with the client, rather than an assumption that migration lost the record.
