Build an LP Compliance Calendar

An LP’s recurring tasks differ from a company annual return or an LLP annual declaration. Start with the registration expiry date, the information-change deadline and the current composition of general and limited partners. As practical preparation, keep these events in one calendar so that a partner change or a missed renewal is not treated as an isolated administrative update.

Before renewal, review the applicable MediSave position of the partners and confirm that required CPF payment arrangements are in place. ACRA’s overview warns that outstanding contributions can prevent renewal. Check the actual expiry date and use the available 60-day renewal window rather than relying only on reminder letters. Failure to renew can change the registration status; it should not be used as a planned method of closing the business.

Keep the LP name and UEN on invoices, official receipts and correspondence with government agencies. When a partner or manager leaves, identify who will lodge the change within 14 days. A former position holder can notify ACRA directly where the general partner has not done so.
