Employer Notification Deadlines
Notify MOM before the holder starts work, and within seven days after their last day of work.

Licensing Requirements
Employers must meet licensing requirements, including those for massage establishments or Police security licensing. PLOC does not replace business or professional licensing.
Keep the Notification Record Usable Through Employment
The employment notification service supports more than the initial start notice. Employers can create a notification, amend its details, update the record when employment ends, and reprint the acknowledgement. After submission, use the amend-notification function for a correction. If the system cannot amend the information, MOM instructs the employer to resubmit with the correct details. This correction route differs from the work pass exempt activity notification system.
Print and retain the acknowledgement: MOM says it must be kept and produced for inspection when required. As a practical employment file, keep it with the PLOC, the valid residence-pass details and the employment start and end dates. Check that the record reflects the actual employer and dates before relying on a previous acknowledgement. This filing suggestion does not replace the employer's pre-start and within-seven-days end-of-work notification duties.
Also check the underlying permission rather than only the notification. PLOC validity follows the ICA LTVP or LTVP+, so residence-pass expiry or cancellation ends its validity. Certain restricted occupations, including the media and religion-related categories described by MOM, require the employer to apply for LOC instead. A successfully submitted employment notification does not remove those occupation restrictions or supply a missing professional or business licence.
