Grounds and Deadline
Review the emailed rejection letter and appeal only with new information that addresses its issues. Submit within three months of the rejection-email date; otherwise make a new application. Only the applicant or authorised EA can enquire or appeal.
Form, Authority and Outcome
Use the linked online form. An EA must attach the applicant’s signed authorisation for the appeal. MOM does not discuss appeals in person given volume. Processing takes at least eight weeks and can be longer; outcome goes to the email in the original application.
Build a Response to the Rejection Reasons
A useful preparation method is to make a short record for each issue in the rejection advisory: the issue raised, what is new or has changed, the document that supports the response, and how that evidence answers the issue. This is an optional organising method, not a required MOM appeal format. Repeating the original application without new information does not address MOM’s stated basis for reconsideration.
Use the original rejection email to calculate the three-month submission window. Collecting supporting evidence or appointing an agent does not change the date identified by MOM. If the window has passed, follow the new-application route instead of treating a late appeal as an extension.
Check Authority and Monitor the Correct Email
Before following MOM’s PEP appeal instructions, confirm whether the applicant or an authorised employment agent will submit the form. For an agent, check that the applicant’s signed letter specifically authorises this appeal. Keep a copy of the submission and the evidence supplied as a practical record.
Monitor the email used in the original application. The minimum eight-week processing period is separate from the three-month filing deadline; it is not a promised decision date or a reason to postpone submission.
