Prepare and Submit the Notice
Lawyers can use Update Property Ownership in myTax Portal without a filing fee. Prepare the sale agreement, transferee identification numbers, and the names, nationality, sex, mailing address and birth date of non-Singapore citizens. Where there are several buyers, confirm which buyer will receive property tax correspondence before submission. The service requires a larger-screen device such as a laptop or tablet.
Transfers Beyond an Ordinary Sale
A transfer of a co-owner’s share to the other owner also requires a notice. A corporate takeover involving a change of property owner must be reported. If an aborted sale returns ownership to the original seller, file a further notice reflecting the restored ownership. Retain the on-screen acknowledgement.
