Search Options
The service accepts one business name or up to four tax-reference entries using UEN, GST registration number or NRIC. A name search requires at least the first five characters. For multiple entries, all boxes must use reference numbers. IRAS recommends UEN or GST registration number for best results. The public form includes a CAPTCHA; follow the displayed instructions before searching.
Prepare an Accurate GST Registration Search
Identify the legal business being checked before entering a search. IRAS recommends the UEN or GST Registration Number for the best results. If you only know a trading name, use the business-name option and provide at least its first five characters. Treat a similar name as a prompt to verify the entity, rather than assuming it identifies the intended supplier.
For several businesses, collect their reference numbers first. The service supports up to four reference-number entries, but does not mix a business-name search with the multiple-entry route. Check each identifier for transcription errors before submitting; a misplaced character can send the search toward a different entity or produce an unhelpful result.
Do not assume that every entity uses its UEN as its GST number. IRAS notes that some do, while its examples also distinguish GST group or divisional registrations, sole proprietorships and overseas vendors under the simplified pay-only regime. Use the identifier shown for the particular business instead of constructing a number from its entity type.
Complete the CAPTCHA displayed by the official service yourself and follow any validation message.
