Match the Update to the Particular Change
A VCC name change and a sub-fund name change are not subject to the same deadline. The current detailed guide specifies 14 days for the VCC name, but one working day for a sub-fund name. Both name transactions cost S$15 and may require in-principle approval from a referral authority. A sub-fund name update does not require a Notice of Resolution. Changes to the listed non-name particulars, including registered office, office hours, VCC type and specified constitution alterations, are free and normally have a 14-day period. Select the transaction from the actual change rather than its label in an internal register.
Reconcile Officers, Registers and Financial Year End
Officer, manager and auditor appointment or cessation updates, and changes in officer or manager particulars, generally have 14-day deadlines. The guide directs Singapore citizens and permanent residents to notify ICA directly of changes to name, address, nationality or identity details rather than submitting those changes to ACRA. Maintain the relevant member, controller and officer registers as well; a portal update does not remove that responsibility. For a financial year end change, use the separate Change of Financial Year End service under Annual Filing in VCC eServices. Keep each submission acknowledgement with the underlying change record.
