Key Points
Renewal opens 60 days before expiry. The published fees are S$30 for one year and S$90 for three years, subject to eligibility. Outstanding MediSave matters must be resolved or covered by the required arrangements; the three-year option has additional conditions. Check the entity’s actual status if registration has already lapsed, since restoration may be needed after cancellation. Continuing business after expiry is an offence.
Match the Renewal to the Business Status
Check the current status and expiry date in Bizfile before choosing the next step. A Live business within the renewal window can renew. ACRA directs an expired business or one with cancellation in progress to renew immediately, while a business cancelled for non-renewal must apply for restoration before renewal. These status instructions do not create a grace period allowing trading after expiry. If the business has stopped operating, close it instead of renewing it.
Confirm that the owner’s Corppass account has ACRA Bizfile access, or arrange filing through a corporate service provider. For all renewals, the owners must settle MediSave contributions or arrange monthly instalments with CPF. The three-year option has a stricter test: no outstanding MediSave payable, or an instalment plan with at least 24 consecutive months of contributions. Merely setting up GIRO does not immediately unblock renewal; ACRA says to wait for the first successful deduction.
If payment fails or remains pending, check My Transactions before attempting payment again. After a successful renewal, use the updated registration details and free Business Profile in the Bizfile Inbox to confirm the outcome. Download that free profile within 60 days, before its access expires.
