Key Points
Prepare the reserved name, financial year end, Singapore registered office and position-holder details. At least one director must meet local-residency rules. Supply the applicable nominator and controller information, share-capital details, allocations and constitution. The office must be accessible for at least three hours on each business day.
Planning Your Next Steps
ACRA lists a S$300 registration fee. Most straightforward registrations are processed soon after payment, but complex or referred filings take longer. Complete the required endorsements and check the approval notice instead of assuming payment finishes incorporation. The eligible direct filer must be the name applicant and a proposed director or secretary; a CSP may file for the company.
Follow the Submission Through to Approval
Before opening the filing, confirm that the reserved name is for the same entity type being registered. Gather the company email, FYE, office hours, shareholder allocations and officer details in one preparation pack. Individuals use Singpass; a Corporate Service Provider uses its Corppass route. This separates the applicant’s access from the company information being submitted.
Check addresses carefully. A position holder’s public contact address must be in the same country as their residential address, allow messages to reach them and cannot be a P.O. Box. The company’s registered office is a different field. Do not substitute one address for another without checking the requirements for that field.
For a direct filing, the other position holders must endorse the registration within 60 days after submission. This endorsement step is not required where a CSP filed the application. Once all required endorsements arrive, Bizfile sends the payment notification. Payment acknowledgement should not be confused with the registration outcome.
Check the Bizfile inbox after payment. Approval brings the incorporation notice, the company’s UEN and a download link for its free Business Profile. ACRA’s complete registration walkthrough ↗ also explains how to check a failed payment transaction; review the recorded status before trying again.
